The Department of Electronic Business and Commerce (DEBC) was founded in March 2004. At present, the DEBC offers one undergraduate education program in Electronic Business and Commerce and cooperates with the Department of Management Science and Engineering to set up a first-grade discipline of Management Science and Engineering to cultivate masters of Management Science and Engineering. It has a research institute of management engineering, and economic decision and information management, responsible for or participating in several national and provincial foundation projects and applied research projects of large-scale enterprises. In the aspect of students cultivation, based on the mission of “Educating Talents and Serving Society”, the DEBC inherits fine tradition of Southeast University—be rigorous and realistic, be united and enterprising—in all efforts to build first class education in electronic business and commerce and management engineering, and to educate the advanced specialist in electronic commerce and management engineering in the framework of service science and management engineering.
