The Department is one of the principal basses doing research on technological economics among domestic universities. At present, it offers an undergraduate program in Economics and three graduate programs in Technological Economics and Management, Regional Economics and Master of Assets Evaluation. The Department has presided over the relevant research programs subsidized by state departments and provincial and municipal governments and made great achievement in corporate technological innovation theories, knowledge-based economy, Hi-Tech zone development and the cooperation between the Eastern and Western Regions in China. The objective of the Department is mainly to cultivate advanced specialized graduates who have both economic theories and strong practical skills, have a good knowledge of economics and management, and own a strong sense of adjustment and innovation. The Department attaches great importance to fostering students who develop in an all-round way with strong sense of high aspirations, determined pursuit of career and making innovations and entrepreneurship based on solid training in both theoretical and practical aspects.
