From May 26 to 28, 2017, "Celebrating the 30th Anniversary of the Founding of the School of Economics and Management of Southeast University and the Centennial of the Founding of the Business Department of Southeast University - ‘New Finance, New Industry’ High-end Academic Forum on Finance" was held in Economic Management Building of Jiulong Lake Campus of Southeast University, which was sponsored by the School of Economics and Management of Southeast University and organized by the Department of Finance of the School of Economics and Management of Southeast University.

Eleven top scholars and experts in the field of Finance in China (four Changjiang scholars and seven deans) were invited to attend the conference, including Prof. Zhang Chengsi from Renmin University of China, Prof. Fang Ying from Xiamen University, Prof. Wu Weixing from the University of International Business and Economics, Prof. Tian Lihui from Nankai University, Prof. Li Jianjun from Central University of Finance and Economics, Prof. Zhou Xiaohua from Chongqing University, Prof. Liu Liya from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, Prof. Peng Hongfeng from Wuhan University, Prof. Li Zhisheng from Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, Prof. Guo Ye from Xiamen University and Prof. Deng Kebin from South China University of Technology. All professors made wonderful academic reports around the conference theme of "New Finance, New Industry".

Professor Chen Zhibin, Director of Social Science Division of Southeast University, and Professor Zhao Lindu, Dean of School of Economics and Management of Southeast University, were invited to deliver speeches on behalf of the university and the school respectively in the morning session of May 27. Professor Zhou Qin, Vice Dean of Research of School of Economics and Management of Southeast University, presided over the session. The two parallel forums in the afternoon were chaired by Professor Liu Xiaoxing, Head of the Department of Finance, and Associate Professor Zhang Ying of the Department of Finance. Professor Li Shouwei, Deputy Head of the Department of Finance, presented the latest paper results in the parallel forum on behalf of the host.

In addition, a seminar on academic paper writing and a seminar between experts and graduate students were held on the afternoon of May 26 and the morning of May 28.

The success of this forum promoted the exchange and cooperation between the Finance discipline of Southeast University and the Finance discipline of domestic famous universities, and the meeting highlighted the national influence of the Finance discipline of Southeast University and achieved a complete success.
