In order to expand classroom learning and enrich practical knowledge, nearly 50 MBA/EMBA students went to Yancheng under the leadership of Professor Hu Hanhui and Director Yao Jianping on November 10 and carried out MBA/EMBA mobile classroom practice activities in Yanan High-tech Zone. This activity was strongly supported by the leaders of Yancheng City, and was warmly received and carefully arranged by the leaders of Yanan High-tech Zone.

Firstly, the inauguration ceremony of "Yancheng Practice Base of MBA Center of Southeast University" was held in Yanan High-tech Zone Big Data Industrial Park. The main leaders and guests attended the event were: Cao Lubao, Mayor of Yancheng City People's Government, Guo Yusheng, Secretary General of Yancheng City Government, Gao Shangde, Secretary of Party Working Committee and Director of Management Committee of Yanan High-tech Zone, Yang Yikuan, Deputy Director of Management Committee of National-level Yancheng Economic and Technological Development Zone, Ding Jinhai, Deputy Director of Management Committee of Yanan High-tech Zone, Hu Hanhui, Professor and Doctoral Supervisor of School of Economics and Management of Southeast University, Gu Yonghong, Director of Propaganda Department of Party Committee of Southeast University, Li Lihua, Deputy Director of the Office of the Party Committee of Southeast University, etc. Director Yao Jianping of MBA Center of Southeast University presided over the inauguration event.
Mayor Cao Lubao briefly introduced the economic and social development of Yancheng in his speech. He pointed out that Yancheng has large space, good ecology, and strong agriculture, is the city with the best ecological environment and strongest agriculture in Yangtze River Delta. The Yellow Sea wetland was successfully selected as a World Natural Heritage Site. The four leading industries of automobile, iron and steel, electronic information and new energy are developing rapidly, and the city's energy level is constantly improving. He said that innovation is the driving force of the city's development. At present, Yancheng is firmly accelerating the gathering of innovative resources, actively formulating policies to support the landing of innovative projects and the entrepreneurship of outstanding talents, and introducing outstanding graduates from 20 famous universities, including Southeast University, through special channels. He said that Yancheng and Southeast University have been maintaining a good cooperation relationship, and he hoped that MBA/EMBA students would take Yancheng Practice Base of MBA Center of Southeast University as a link, come to walk and see more, investigate and research in depth, look for employment positions and entrepreneurial opportunities, and we would provide better growth space and bigger entrepreneurial platform for them. Mayor Cao hoped that MBA/EMBA students would contribute to the industrial development of Yancheng, and expected more alumni enterprises like DSee to take root in Yancheng.

Afterwards, Mr. Zhou Quan, the Chairman and CEO of Nanjing DSee Digital Technology Co., Ltd. introduced the development of DSee and shared his entrepreneurial story with the students. Zhou Quan graduated from the School of Information Science and Engineering of Southeast University in 2015, and his entrepreneurial journey started on campus. In the 3rd China "Internet+" Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, Zhou Quan and his co-founders' research results won third place nationwide with holographic 3D visual display technology. After graduation, he was actively involved in entrepreneurship and co-founded Nanjing DSee Digital Technology Co, Ltd. Zhou Quan himself was named to the 2020 Forbes China Under 30 Elite list. He showed us the idea of "Cyber Yancheng 2049" and his determination to "change the world with technology" like Steve Jobs.
Professor Hu Hanhui, the chief instructor of this mobile classroom, made a concluding speech. On behalf of Southeast University, he thanked the government of Yancheng City for its support to this mobile classroom practice activity. He said that Yancheng is an international city of innovation, future, and ecology, a vibrant high-tech city, and after the demonstration of DSee, he believed that Yancheng can go better on the road of high-tech development. He said that Southeast University has a long history of cooperation with Yancheng City, and there will be more cooperation opportunities in the future. Southeast University is willing to strengthen further cooperation with Yancheng City in the areas of innovation resource sharing, innovation capacity building, transformation of scientific and technological achievements, and scientific and technological talent training, to promote more scientific and technological innovation achievements to the ground, and to contribute to Yancheng City's "14th Five-Year Plan" leapfrog development.
Finally, Mayor Cao Lubao and Professor Hu Hanhui jointly unveiled a plaque for the Yancheng Practice Base of MBA Center of Southeast University.
After the inauguration ceremony, under the leadership of Gao Shangde, the Secretary of the Party Working Committee and the Director of the Management Committee of Yanan High-tech Zone, the MBA/EMBA team visited high-tech enterprises and demonstration parks, such as New Alley, Xifuhe Innovation Community, Yunzhou Technology Co., 3D Printing International Science and Technology Park and DSee, to experience first-hand the brilliant achievements of high-quality development in Yanan High-tech Zone and even Yancheng City.
New Alley is located in Kecheng Street of Yanan High-Tech Zone, relying on the space carrier of Xinlong Square and benchmarking Shanghai alley culture, introducing a series of modern commerce, culture, sports and leisure, special food and beverage, etc. More than 60 brand merchants have been stationed, including Yancheng's main cultural and creative brand, "YAN + BUY" bookstore, which is a new type of cultural life museum that combines bookstore, coffee, cultural creation, and Internet, dedicated to leading the reading of all people in Yancheng and creating a "bookish Yancheng" trendsetter. The rise of New Alley has built a new landmark of Yancheng's business and met the aspirations of Yancheng citizens for a better life.
The Xifuhe Digital Intelligent Innovation Community is a new community in Yanan High-Tech Zone with the Xifuhe Science and Innovation Corridor as its axis. The spatial layout of "one corridor, two belts and five regions", led by a new generation of information technology, promotes the integration of digital industries with traditional industries, focuses on the development of data applications, digital creativity, digital health, digital architecture, intelligent devices and other digital industries, focuses on building digital economy industry clusters, builds an open, intelligent and ecological digital intelligent innovation community, and realizes promoting the city with production and bringing production with the city.
Yunzhou Technology Co. is the first high-tech enterprise in China that focuses on the research and development, production, sales and provision of industry solutions for unmanned ships. It has a world-class unmanned boat team, has participated in the formulation of all seven existing unmanned boat standards in China, has accepted more than 200 unmanned boat core patents, has mastered a number of independent core key technologies, and is in the global leading level. The development concept of leading the future with intelligent innovation is in line with the development orientation of Yanan High-tech Zone of "Science and technology and Innovation promotes the zone, Industry strengthens the zone", and the landing of Yunzhou Technology will help High-tech Zone to extend to the value chain of high-end industrial clusters.
3D Printing International Science and Technology Park in Yanan High-tech Zone gathers technology, talents, projects and other industry advantageous resources, accelerates the introduction and cultivation of 3D printing demonstration enterprises, builds a 3D printing industry ecosystem with platform services, equipment research and development, material development and demonstration applications, and establishes a 3D printing "Industry-University-Research-Use" collaborative innovation platform. Sculptures and buildings made by 3D printing technology can be seen everywhere in the park, and even flower pots can be printed with 3D technology.
At the end of the visit, we went to DSee to conduct a mobile classroom academic lecture with the theme of "Management Innovation and Leadership Training". Mr. Hu started from "What is innovation" and, through a series of vivid pictures, he explained that "innovation" is a relentless pursuit of a better future from "mass entrepreneurship and innovation" to Huawei's 5G and DSee's naked eye 3D. Mr. Hu also asked the students to think about the similarities and differences between "pioneer" and "leader", saying that a pioneer knows what to do and also knows the person who can do it well, while a leader also understands and has a way to make the person willing to do it well.
Mr. Hu, as the initiator and mentor of Zhou Quan on his entrepreneurial journey, took the development of DSee and Zhou Quan's growth as a case study, and let Zhou Quan speak in person. Taking the opportunity of the mobile classroom, students had an all-round in-depth communication with Zhou Quan and were able to draw the nutrients of entrepreneurship from a young entrepreneur.
As an important form of MBA/EMBA teaching activities, the mobile classroom closely combines theoretical knowledge and enterprise practice, and the students not only learned knowledge beyond books, but also knew the growth stories of outstanding entrepreneurs, which made the learning content richer and the learning knowledge more vivid. The students said that they felt deeply and benefited a lot from this mobile classroom trip to Yancheng, which was a fruitful and rewarding trip.
