Introduction to the publication experience of high-level journal papers

As climate change is affecting the survival of human beings and all aspects of the social economy, it has become the consensus of all mankind to deal with global climate change. A growing number of national governments have put forward a carbon-neutral vision and converted it into a national strategy. Turning the version into action requires a practical and feasible development path. Forecasting and analyzing low-carbon energy technologies that may play an important role in the transformation process is rather important. Dr. Meng Jing's report will introduce the trend of carbon emission changes in recent years and its driving factors, as well as the role and cost changes of low-carbon technology innovation in the process of emission reduction.
About speaker:
Dr. Meng Jing is an Associate Professor at University College London (UCL) and a Visiting Research Fellow at the Department of Land Economics of the University of Cambridge. She is committed to multidisciplinary research, such as the socio-economic impacts of climate change and air pollution, and comprehensive assessment models driven by low-carbon technological innovation. She has published many papers in high-level journals as the first author and corresponding author, including Proceedings of the National Academy of Science (PNAS), Nature Climate Change, Nature Geoscience, Nature Communications, Nature Sustainability, One Earth. Dr. Meng Jing won the 2018 Nature Communications Top 50 Frontier Paper Award in Earth and Planetary Sciences, the 2017 Environmental Research Letters Best Young Scholar Paper Award, and was awarded the Sustainable Development Future Leader Award in 2020. She was the Globally highly cited scholar in the interdisciplinary field of Clarivate Analytics in 2020 and 2021. She is the executive editor of Journal of Cleaner Production, an SCI journal. She is also the associate editor of Economia Politica, an SSCI journal.
