报告摘要和内容:
Internet of Things (IoTs) has become part of our life due to rapid development of technology. In business world, IoTs has enabled companies to have zero distance between manufacturers and customers, which has led to many business models such as Haier’s RenDanHeYi model and Midea’s M2C model. These new business models have re-structured organisations and witnessed flourishing development of microenterprises. Now the question is whether we still need traditional HRM in these tiny enterprises? If yes, how can we achieve effective management in this type of enterprises? We may ask more questions such as
How can we redefine the HRM function in MEs that are under a new business model?
How do microenterprises cope with new challenges in managing employees?
How do employees or teams attribute HRM-related policies and practices in new business models (e.g., selection, training, motivation, remuneration, and performance appraisal)? and
What are the performance consequences of the HRM attribution process in the context of new business models?
These questions will be discussed at the seminar based on a research project I have been involved with Nanjing University.
